Make perfectly golden, crispy potato chips at home using your air fryer - a simple, healthier alternative to deep frying.

If you have time, soak the chips for up to 30 minutes to extract some of the starch before frying.
Preparation
Step 1
Leave the potato skins on and cut the potatoes into chips about 1cm (½in) thick. Toss the chips with olive oil and a generous pinch of salt to evenly coat.
Step 2
Place in an air fryer and cook at 180°C for 20-30 minutes, giving them a toss every 10 minutes to ensure even cooking.
Step 3
Keep an eye on them early on to prevent sticking to the bottom of the basket. Continue air-frying until the chips are golden and crisp.
