Step 1
How to bake pike perch in foil in the oven? Prepare all necessary ingredients. Clean the fish from scales, remove the entrails and gills. Rinse it under running water and pat dry thoroughly.
Step 2
Make crosswise cuts along the fish at small intervals. Rub the fish inside and out with salt and spices. Leave it to rest for 15-20 minutes.
Step 3
Slice half a lemon and the tomato into thin rounds.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, mix the juice from the remaining half of the lemon, mustard, spices, and a little vegetable oil. Stir well.
Step 5
Coat the fish on all sides with the prepared sauce and place it on a sheet of foil.
Step 6
Insert lemon and tomato slices into the cuts. Peel and slice the onion into half-rings. Arrange the onion and remaining vegetables around the fish. Add a few sprigs of parsley.
Step 7
Cover the fish with another piece of foil and seal the edges tightly. Place it in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) and bake for 40-45 minutes. Adjust the time depending on your oven.
Step 8
Remove the baked fish from the oven and uncover it by taking off the top layer of foil. Fold down the edges and serve the fish directly in the foil.
Step 9
The fish looks elegant and festive right after baking, making it a great centerpiece for holiday dinners. Serve with a side of potatoes. Enjoy!
