Preparation
Step 1
Sift the all-purpose flour through a fine sieve to enrich it with oxygen. This will make the finished bread more airy and porous.
Step 2
Pour the required amount of water into the bread maker pan and add the egg.
Step 3
Add salt, sugar, dry milk, and softened butter.
Step 4
Add the sifted flour and yeast.
Step 5
Place the pan into the bread maker and set it to the “Basic” mode (1.5 lb loaf, medium crust color). My program runs for 2 hours and 55 minutes. At the start of kneading, you can open the lid and check the dough consistency - add a bit of flour or water if necessary. After the kneading stage, do not open the lid - otherwise, the bread will collapse!
Step 6
When the program finishes, the bread maker will beep to indicate readiness. Remove the loaf from the pan.
Step 7
The bread will have a beautiful golden crust and an irresistible aroma. Wrap it in a towel and let it cool. The cooled loaf slices perfectly. Enjoy your homemade bread!
