About 30 min.
Preparation
Step 1
You can use any part of the chicken. I usually take a whole bird and cut it into pieces. You can adjust the ratio of potatoes to chicken according to your taste.
Step 2
Fry the chicken pieces in a skillet over high heat until slightly golden on all sides. Then transfer the browned chicken to the slow cooker bowl.
Step 3
Peel and chop the onion and carrot. In the same pan where you fried the chicken, sauté the onion and carrot for 3-5 minutes.
Step 4
Transfer the sautéed vegetables to the slow cooker with the chicken.
Step 5
Peel and wash the potatoes, then cut them into large chunks. Place them on top of the chicken. Add peeled and chopped garlic. Pour in the brine. Season with salt and spices to taste. Stir everything, close the lid, and set the Stew mode for 1.5 hours (about 90 minutes). Cooking time may vary depending on your slow cooker model.
Step 6
When the time is up, the slow cooker will beep to indicate the dish is ready. Spoon the stewed chicken and potatoes onto plates and serve hot. Enjoy your meal!
