Rock Buns

Preparation
Step 1
In a bowl mix together flour, baking powder, sugar, nutmeg, salt.
Step 2
Use your fingertips to rub cold butter into the flour until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs.
Step 3
Beat the egg with milk. Pour into the dry mixture. Add raisins. Mix until you get a thick, rough dough (not smooth).
Step 4
Scoop rough spoonfuls of dough and drop onto a greased baking sheet. They should look “rocky,” not perfect.
Step 5
Bake at 180°C for 20-25 minutes. Remove when golden brown and crisp at the edges.
Step 6
Perfect with tea, coffee, or as a snack.
