Preparation
Step 1
You can use milk and sour cream of any fat content you like. You can also adjust the amount of sugar to your taste. The strawberries can be replaced with any other berries or fruit, or you can make the dessert without berries at all.
Step 2
Wash the strawberries and remove the hulls. Cut large berries into pieces; small ones can be left whole or cut in half. Instead of strawberries you can use other berries or fruit, such as peaches, raspberries, blueberries, bilberries, currants, etc. You can also adjust the amount of berries to your liking - add more or less.
Step 3
Pour 100 ml of cold milk over the gelatin and leave it to swell for 10-15 minutes.
Step 4
In a small saucepan whisk the egg yolks with the sugar.
Step 5
Pour in the remaining milk and mix until smooth.
Step 6
Place the saucepan over medium heat and, stirring constantly, bring almost to a boil, but do not let it boil. As soon as the first bubbles appear, remove the saucepan from the heat.
Step 7
Add the swollen gelatin to the hot milk mixture and stir until it is completely dissolved.
Step 8
Let the milk mixture cool a little so the sour cream does not curdle in the hot milk. Add the sour cream and mix again. Then add a few drops of vanilla flavoring or a pinch of vanilla on the tip of a knife and stir once more.
Step 9
Pour part of the milk mixture into a silicone mold. Arrange some of the strawberries on top. Pour in more of the mixture and again lay strawberries on top. Continue alternating layers of berries and milk mixture until the mold is filled. Cover the top with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours, or better overnight.
Step 10
Remove the set dessert from the mold onto a serving plate. Decorate with strawberries and mint and serve. You can decorate this dessert with any berries, or sprinkle it with grated chocolate, coconut flakes, etc. Enjoy!
