Preparation
Step 1
How to make lazy lavash lasagna with minced meat in the oven? First, prepare all the necessary ingredients from the list. You can use ready-made store-bought mince or make it yourself from chicken fillet. You can also use finely chopped chicken meat. In addition to the listed ingredients, you can add a chopped onion to the mince.
Step 2
Grate the cheese on a medium grater. You can use a simple fermented cheese like the common “Russian-type” cheese or Gouda, or take Italian mozzarella for pizza.
Step 3
Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the mince and fry, stirring, for about 5 minutes until the extra liquid evaporates. If you want the mince with onion, first peel and finely chop the onion and fry it together with the chicken mince in the pan.
Step 4
While frying, season the mince with salt and pepper, then add the tomato paste and water. Mix everything gently. You can replace tomato paste with a fresh tomato: peel it and grate on a fine grater.
Step 5
Simmer everything together in the pan for another 2-3 minutes and turn off the heat. The filling should not be dry; it should have enough tomato sauce to soak the lavash.
Step 6
Cut the lavash into several rectangles. Two of them should be larger than the baking dish, the rest should be slightly smaller than the dish.
Step 7
Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil (mine is 16 × 20 cm / about 6 × 8 in). Lay in two large sheets of lavash so that they cover the bottom and form sides.
Step 8
Spread a little of the filling over the lavash and smooth it out. Sprinkle lightly with grated cheese on top.
Step 9
Place a smaller sheet of lavash on the mince and again spread mince and cheese over it. In this way, alternating layers of lavash and filling, shape the lasagna until all the mince is used.
Step 10
Cover the last layer of mince with a sheet of lavash and generously sprinkle with grated cheese. Put the dish with the lasagna into a preheated 180°C (about 356°F) oven and bake for roughly 15-20 minutes until golden. Adjust the exact time and temperature according to your oven.
Step 11
Let the finished lasagna cool slightly, cut it into portions and serve warm. Enjoy!
