Easy
About 20 min.
Preparation
Step 1
Use fresh, canned, or frozen corn. No need to thaw it beforehand. Use long-grain parboiled rice - it stays separate and fluffy.
Step 2
Cook the rice in advance. Rinse several times in cold water, then boil in salted water for 20-30 minutes (follow package instructions). Rice should be soft. Drain through a colander.
Step 3
Peel and finely chop the onion. Heat a little vegetable oil in a hot skillet and sauté the onion for 2 minutes until translucent.
Step 4
Add corn to the skillet. Frozen corn will thaw while frying. Heat the corn with the onion for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 5
In a separate bowl, beat the egg. You may use 2 or 3 eggs if desired.
Step 6
Pour the egg into the skillet with the corn and mix. The egg will cook while mixing.
Step 7
Add the cooked rice to the skillet. Press garlic and add soy sauce. Mix everything well and heat for 3-5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Step 8
Fried Rice with Corn and Egg is ready! Serve on plates as a main dish or side. Enjoy!
