Creamy Pizza Sauce
Delicate, very simple and tasty! Made in no time. Creamy pizza sauce can easily replace tomato sauce and is just as flavorful. It is great for pizza with seafood, ham, vegetables and more. Besides pizza, this sauce is also perfect for lasagna, pasta, baked meat or fish.

Easy
Preparation
Step 1
Cream with a fat content of 20-30% will work well. Take the cream out of the fridge in advance so it comes to room temperature. You can replace fresh garlic with ½ tsp dried. The flour can be replaced with potato or corn starch, but you may need more corn starch because it is weaker than potato starch.
Step 2
Peel the garlic and chop it finely or press it through a garlic press.
Step 3
In a pan over low heat, melt part of the butter.
Step 4
Add the garlic and fry, stirring, until a strong aroma appears. Add the remaining butter. Make sure the garlic does not burn, so do not leave the stove.
Step 5
Add the flour to the pan and stir until smooth.
Step 6
Still stirring, gradually pour in the cream and add the spices. Besides the basic salt and pepper, you can add any spices you like. For example, a pinch of nutmeg works very well here.
Step 7
Stirring constantly, simmer the sauce for 2-3 minutes until it thickens. Adjust the thickness of the sauce to your liking. If you cannot get rid of lumps, you can strain the sauce through a sieve or blend it with an immersion blender. Remove the pan from the heat.
Step 8
The pizza sauce is ready. As it cools, it will thicken a lot, so it’s best to use it while it is still hot. With this sauce you can make pizza with any topping. I made a yeasted pizza with ham, bacon and tomatoes. Enjoy!
