Preparation
Step 1
How to make cottage cheese casserole in a skillet on the stove? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Use dry cottage cheese. For a smoother texture, you can press it through a fine sieve.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs and sugar, and beat them slightly with a mixer.
Step 3
Add cottage cheese and sour cream to the eggs. Stir to combine.
Step 4
Then add semolina, baking soda, and rinsed raisins. You can also add a pinch of vanilla. The batter shouldn’t be too runny - if your cottage cheese is moist, add a bit more semolina.
Step 5
Use a skillet with a thick bottom. For extra assurance, line it with parchment paper. Grease with butter and sprinkle with semolina - this will prevent sticking.
Step 6
Pour the prepared cottage cheese mixture into the skillet. My skillet is about 8 inches (20 cm) wide.
Step 7
Cover with a lid and place on very low heat. Cook for 20-30 minutes without opening the lid. Watch the process through the lid - glass lids are best for this.
Step 8
When the casserole turns golden around the edges and gives off a pleasant aroma, remove it from the skillet and serve hot! You can serve it with sour cream, jam, or sweetened condensed milk. Enjoy your meal!
