Classic Apple & Raisin Charlotte Cake

Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients to make a delicious apple charlotte in the oven.

Crack four chicken eggs into a large bowl and add 1/4 tsp salt.

Add 100 g sugar and beat with a mixer until a fluffy white mixture forms.

Add 50 g melted butter to the bowl.
Step 5
Mix everything together with a mixer.

Sift 170 g flour into the bowl in two additions, then add 1 tsp baking powder.

Very gently fold the mixture with a spatula.

Finely grate the zest of 1 lemon into the batter.

Mix everything well.

Peel four apples and remove the cores.

Slice two apples into thin slices and place them in a deep bowl.

Drizzle the sliced apples with lemon juice.

Grease the inside of a suitable baking pan with a small amount of butter.

Arrange the sliced apples in the pan in a tight layer.

For better flavor, sprinkle the apple layer with cinnamon mixed with vanilla sugar to taste.

Pour half of the prepared batter over the apples and spread it into an even layer.

Cut the other two peeled apples into small random pieces in a bowl and drizzle with lemon juice.

Add 50 g raisins that were previously soaked in boiling water.

Sprinkle the apple-and-raisin mixture with cinnamon mixed with vanilla sugar to taste, then mix again.

Spread the apple-and-raisin mixture into the pan in another even layer.

Pour the second half of the batter over the apple-and-raisin layer, spread evenly, and let the pan stand for 10-15 minutes.

After 50 minutes, remove the charlotte baked to a golden crust from the oven and remove the pan.
