Preparation
Step 1
Rinse the chicken drumsticks under running water and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Use liquid honey - if it’s crystallized, melt it slightly in the microwave.
Step 2
Take a deep mixing bowl. Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press. Squeeze in the juice of half a lemon and add 1 teaspoon of honey.
Step 3
Add 3-4 tablespoons (45-60 ml) of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of vegetable oil, and 1 teaspoon of mustard to the bowl. Sprinkle with paprika and a pinch of salt (remember that soy sauce is already salty). Mix everything well until combined.
Step 4
Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl and toss them in the marinade so they are well coated. Let them marinate for about 30 minutes at room temperature.
Step 5
For baking, use any oven-safe dish - glass, ceramic, or metal. I used a ceramic one. Arrange the marinated drumsticks in the dish and place it in a preheated 350°F (180°C) oven for 40-45 minutes. Adjust the time to your oven.
Step 6
The finished drumsticks should turn a beautiful golden color. The honey in the marinade gives them a caramelized glaze. During baking, spoon some of the sauce from the dish over the drumsticks for extra flavor. Once baked, remove from the oven and serve hot!
Step 7
Optionally, serve with a side dish or fresh vegetables. Enjoy your meal!
