Apples with Sugar and Water in the Oven

Step 1
You’ll need apples and sugar. For baking, it’s best to use firm apples with thick skin, such as Granny Smith or Red Chief. This recipe uses Granny Smith apples.
Step 2
Wash the apples thoroughly, remove the stems, and cut off the tops - about ½ inch (1 cm) thick.
Step 3
Remove the cores first with a knife, then with a teaspoon. Don’t scoop too deep, or the syrup will leak out.
Step 4
Add 2 teaspoons of sugar into each hollowed apple.
Step 5
Place all apples in a baking dish and be sure to pour a little water into the bottom of the dish.
Step 6
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C). Baking time depends on the variety and size of the apples - it may take 20 to 50 minutes. That’s it - your dessert is ready! Enjoy!
