Preparation
Step 1
As your liquid base, you can use any dairy or plant-based milk - regular milk, kefir, yogurt, or oat milk. I used oat milk. Instant oats work best as they soften quickly. You can use any fruits or berries you like.
Step 2
Wash and dry the bananas, peel them, and slice into rounds. Choose fully ripe bananas - they add sweetness and a creamy texture to the smoothie.
Step 3
Wash and dry the apple. Cut it into quarters, remove the core and peel, then chop the flesh into small pieces.
Step 4
Wash and dry the kiwi, cut it in half, scoop out the pulp with a spoon, and chop it into pieces.
Step 5
Rinse the spinach leaves thoroughly under running water and pat dry with paper towels. Remove any tough stems.
Step 6
In a blender, pour in the milk (or your chosen liquid) and add the oats. For one serving, use 1 cup (240 ml) milk and 2 tablespoons oats. Let sit for 5 minutes to soften.
Step 7
Add the chopped banana and apple to the blender. Blend until smooth.
Step 8
For a raspberry smoothie, add a cup of milk, oats, apple, banana, and raspberries (fresh or frozen). Blend until smooth.
Step 9
For a green smoothie, add milk, oats, banana, apple, kiwi, and spinach. Blend until fully smooth.
Step 10
Serve the smoothie immediately after preparation - it’s richest in vitamins when fresh. You can add honey to taste. Enjoy!
